With the unusual REALLY COLD temperatures hitting Florida this month, we needed to get some reliable small heaters for our outdoor shop area.  We had purchased some similar heaters a few years ago from Walmart. Really liked them %26 Walmarts great service, so we went back %26 got all the small heaters we needed and THEY WERE ALL ON SALE!!! Even better!! Great small heaters that heat small areas really fast.  Plus we like the added safety features that prevent injury or fires. We had ordered a total of 6 heaters. A few came immediately - THANK YOU! %26 the others came right behind those in a very timely manner.  Fast prompt efficient %26 courteous delivery personnel! So ALL these heaters get our THIMBS UP %26 5 Stars, along with the Walmart online site - easy to use!!! ALL these heaters Walmart employees %26 delivery personnel - Everyone that I've felt with from our local Walmart has ALWAYS been kind %26 helpful.  If they can't help me find something in the store, they will immediately find someone better to assist. AAA

For the past two years, I have another one of these which I really like. Turns out the new one is even better. The old one was fairly quiet, but the new one is very quiet. It put the name brand ones I have to shame. I also like the three heat settings instead of the usual two. Low or Medium works for me most of the time, High really throws out the heat. One other detail, even on high I don't notice any heating in the plug or cord (not on either unit), something I have seen on other brands which could lead to big problems.

Great Little Heater

Heats quickly %26 small footprint. Heat regulator nonexistent. Either turn off or on manually which is inconvenient. You get what you pay for so it's a good heater.

Good heater but…

Purchased it the first week of August 2025 and it now no longer works October 2025
Didn't even last 6 months and I cannot return or replace. I gave it a star because when it did work it heated great.

Stopped Working

I bought 2.
The first one stopped working after 2 weeks.  Always used it in the same spot, was not obstructed but it did get hot.  The light comes on when I try to turn it on, just nothing else happens now.  I can't return it because I already tossed the box.  Also, where and how I was using it, I had an older space heater I used there and it never had a problem and still works (I even put it back since this one died), so I dont think its use or location to be honest.  
We'll see how long the other one lasts.  
Next time I will buy a different brand and maybe spend a little more.

I am horribly disappointed.
Mainstays used to be a good brand.  
I still have several Mainstays items I purchased years ago and they are going strong.
I purchased this heater in January.
In March I turned it on and smelled the odor of melted/burnt plastic.
I immediately turned it off.
The fan that blows out heat stopped working.  
I tried to return it to the store but since it was older than 30 days, (an electronic), and purchased online, the store refused to replace it.
I threw it in the trash where it belonged.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS HEATER!

Stopped working less than 2 months! Hazard!!

It sent heat out for a foot or two so must stay very close to it to get any warmth.
After being off for a couple of days I discovered it was still plugged in. I went to unplug it and found the plug very hot to the touch. Could be a fire hazard. I do not recommend this heater.

I purchased two heaters
One… The box is received was already opened with Fragile taped on three sides
When I opened it 
The Heater had a noise like something was broken on the inside
It would turn on but no heat on any setting!
I don't know why it product would have been put back on a shelf to resell if it was damaged!

Broken Heater resold as New!

the one knob to adjust the temperature just spun since I ever got it. but the reason I'm leaving a comment now is because I tried to make a return for this item due to it stopped working all in general.  I hold down the safety and try to turn it on. it acts as if it is going to come on then just turns off and dies.  does nothing, unfortunately i can't do anything about it because I'm just a few days past my return and the heater stops working all today, was damaged from the beginning. tried to contact customer service but the person couldn't even finish the conversation of me contact customer service before they forward me to some other screen to call the 1800 number, didn't even tell me anything. just transfered my call. horrible heater.

When I got the item set up was easy. The price was awesome and it was just what I was looking to is for my room. I started using it the settings and amount of heat was awesome and was working great. But after two and a half weeks it just started to not work out of  nowhere. I had to return the item and was not happy.

Great product if it worked past 2 1/2 weeks!
