Stop looking. You have found the best retractable leash there is. My first one lasted 8 years and it took a beating from me dropping it. Bought a different one and it didn't work as well and messed up after 2 weeks. Researched and finally found one like I had before which is this one.

THis is an excellent lead at a great price.  Way less than I would have to pay at PetSmart or Petco for the exact same product.

Priced better than petsmart

This is a good size for my baby Boston Terrier. She only weighed 2.9 pounds so this was a good size for what she needed as she was growing. This one works well for her and the leash length is a good distance, giving her plenty of room to move around. 
For small dogs this is a good size, and it comes in a variety of colors too. It also has a lock feature to lock the leash length in place. 
For our needs this leash is a good fit.

Perfect for My Girl

I bought this lead so my pup could have a little room to roam without letting him off the leash. The controls worked well, the device didn't tangle, and my dog didn't mind. A winner!

Works Well

I have used this model for years, but must caution people new to it that the cord can cut and wind around people; it has the potential to strangle someone if not wisely-used by owner.  READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. 
Newer models have a wider cord but still can be dangerous.   Use this only if you want the dog to have more freedom to run around a bit.  Does not replace regular lead.

Good but can be dangerous

I have to agree with the other comment posted that this leash is definitely NOT 16 feet as described. I know this because my poor Yorkie ran out to one of his favorite trees from the sidewalk and couldn't even make it. I haven't measured it, but this leash is more like 12 ft. Although it seems to be a well-built leash, I can only give it one star because of the discrepancy in length.
