Overall a good product. Everything came well packaged and without defects/damage. Was very easy to install. One complaint: the attachment system is plastic and the metal covers must be pushed over the plastic where a small plastic latch must engage to secure the unit to the wall.  engage, A metal set screw would be better. This is not a problem until the unit needs removed (I remove all wall parts, e.g. switch covers , bars, etc., before painting) as the plastic tab may break.

Brushed nickel 24" towel bar

I have the chrome towel holder and it is so nice to have matching fixtures in my bathroom! The mounts are sturdy and it should be able to hold at least 2 towels on it. The only complaint I have is that the chrome metal dowel spins in the mounts when I put a towel on it and it makes a lot of noise. Otherwise an aesthetically pleasing accessory for my bath.

Beautifully matches the rest of my fixtures!

The mounting system for these types of towel bars and rings has typically used a small metal set screw to hold the posts onto a metal plate which is affixed to the wall.  Moen has changed the method to attach the posts on these bars/rings to plastic, with tiny plastic tabs which "lock" the posts onto the wall plates.  Lock is a good descriptino because once the posts are affixed to the wall, you'll never get them off, at least without breaking the flimsy plastic tabs.  As there's no other way to attach the posts to the wall, the bars/rings are rendered useless.  Perhaps that was the intent: you have to buy all new any time you paint or change location.

Mounting System Not An Improvement

If this bar gets loose, it is really easy to brake the mounting.

Easy to install, but easy to break if you have to remove to tighten.

Hard to Maintain

I am a huge Moen fan and have Moen faucets and accessories in all my bathrooms.  I recently decided to update the design of the bathroom towel bars, toilet paper holder and hand towel ring.  The older Moen set had 3 screws that held each side of the bar and toilet paper holder to the wall.  The towel ring has 3 screws.  The new mounting kit for the Brantford set is different and only has 1 screw holding it to the wall.  After a few pulls from the toilet paper roll, the toilet paper holder was already loose.  I am very handy and this was not an installation error.  The single screw support in drywall through a plastic bracket is not adequate to hold these items to the wall long term.  The older brackets were metal and had 3 times the number of screws to hold them to the wall.

I have ready patched the old holes and made new ones for the new stuff and returning these is going to leave me with more patching, texturing and painting.  Moen please tell me there is a better design in the works.

Quality Not There

My Builder installed one of these towel racks in the wrong place. I called the 800# listed at the end of the installation video, and was ultimately referred back to the same installation video.

The snap on system used for installation is probably fast & easy for installation, but not intended for uninstallation.

Bottom Line - don't buy the Pro Fit products if you think you may have to move one in the future.

Difficult to remove - Moen 800# was not helpful

I have a new home.  The builder installed 24" Brantford  towel racks in bad locations.  The new style mounting mechanism does not allow for the rack to be removed from the wall.  Previous towel racks all had a screw at the bottom, that allowed the fixture to be removed. We want to paint, and there is no way to remove it.  I need more towel racks and will certainly not install more of these!
