Easy setup, minor adjustments needed to brakes and front derailleur. The front fender was a bit fussy, but with a bit of tweaking is staying where it belongs. This is exactly what is needed for a running around town bike. It isn't light, so if your looking for a feather weight, redefine your search. It is quite capable of delivering a smooth and comfortable ride when surfaces aren't exactly perfect. I adjusted the seat post spring rate a bit looser than the factory setting to meet my requirement. For excercise, I use a much lighter bike. For gliding around town, visiting, and running errands, this is my bicycle of choice. I was able to exceed my neighbor's one wheel in governed form pulling a slight grade, though I was puffing by the top of the rise. He was showing 19 mph on the gps when I was pulling away from him, so you can get it rolling at a good clip with a bit of effort. I ordered Schwinn's lighting with the bike, finding the quality to be very good. This is a good looking bike. There were some light scuffs from shipping, but nothing a clean and wax didn't solve.

Bike material is durable looks very good quality. Tires are thin and work good on streets. Suspension for this bike is good. Overall I give this bike a 10/10.

Hybrid Bike

Is durable and he loves that the shifting is easy. He also like that when he goes on bumps it doesn't hurt him. This bike is going to last him a long time.

It's comfortable to ride around town, whether I'm commuting, cruising through my neighborhood, or doing longer casual rides. The 21-speed Shimano EZ-Fire shifters make gearing easy across flats and light hills, and the hybrid geometry keeps me in an upright, relaxed position.

Bike

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Schwinn Discover 2 Hybrid bike is near and dear to my heart because my very first bike was a Schwinn. I absolutely loved that bike and we still have it and I have included a picture of it, that bike was passed down to me and is older than myself and is still going strong just like I know that this hybrid bike will last and be passed down. Schwinn has an excellent reputation, along with great craftsmanship. The bike arrived in a heavy duty box and the bike was about ninety percent assembled. All we had to do was attach the front tire, add the seat and attach and adjust the handlebars, and pump up the tires. The box tells you what tools you need and the instruction manual was very easy to understand. It took the 2 of us  about 20 minutes to put it together and we had fun doing it. This hybrid bike is a mix of matte black with some glossy finish and is a very gorgeous bike. This has 21 shifting gears that  are very smooth, the pedals have a comfortable grip for easy pedaling and the brakes are very intuitive. 
The seat is generously padded and the bike itself provides an extremely comfortable ride with adequate shock absorbers. This bike truly has it all and is very well built and designed with comfort in mind for the rider. And for reference my husband is 6'4”, our daughter is 5'2” and I am 5'5” and we all could ride this bike with extreme ease. Each of us really love this bike and will always buy Schwinn bikes for ease of mind and quality.

Excellent Handling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a neat little bike for riding around town, I personally founded mostly suited for paved roads, although it did ok on grass or hard dirt roads. I am 5'10” and it fit me very well, it's comfortable and easy to ride with its front suspension, adjustable seat and 21 speed gears, the front and rear wheel fenders definitely keep water from splashing when roads are wet, the rear rack is convenient and can easily hold small personal items or even a few small groceries if needed.
The overall build quality is decent, my only complaint would be the rims, and it might be something I will soon be upgrading. The assembly was fairly easy long as you are familiar with bicycles and easy to put together with basic tools. 
The derailleurs were unadjusted and where a bit of a challenge to adjust, and sadly I still haven't gotten it quite right, might have to take it in to a shop.

Fun and versatile hybrid bike

Nice bike.  I love the way it looks and rides.  The only issue I have its slightly bigger than described.  I am 5'-7" and I am on my toes sitting on the seat at its lowest, but my Knees are in the correct position.  It's advertised as fitting someone 5'-5" to 6'-0".  I still highly recommend this bike.

Discover 2 - 700c

Nice but oversized. It said it would accommodate smaller riders but it really doesn't do it well. Also the brakes don't work well with that suspension set up. Should have went with disc and caliper.

Not overjoyed!
