Perfect replacement! Fit was spot on and installation was a breeze.  I was honestly shocked Walmart carried this part...and at 15-20% cheaper than everwhere else.

Better than replacing the whole door

Our original Larson door knob lasted about 20 years before we needed to replace it… this is a perfect match, was easy to install and looks beautiful.

It's made for thick doors and thin doors so when you cut the lock TANG you can mess up very easily like I did. I had to leave longer and I didn't. I measured it according to the old lock didn't work so now I have to fabricate a tank who knows how long that'll take to find the right metal other than that it's identical to the one I removed

The handle of our Larsen door wasn't latching properly. You could literally push the door open. Not to mention after probably 15 years the handles showed sign of wear. 

I ordered this as a full replacement. Other reviews say you can't mix and match handles because the spindle is a different size and shape. Luckily, replacing this isn't very involved for the most part. A few screws here and there and a set screw that needs an allen wrench. Super easy, until...

The lock on the bottom portion has a small metal bar. Odds are you'll have to trim it to make it fit. I watched a video of another door latch set where they snapped it with two pairs of pliers. I tried that but felt like it would snap the bar in half and not where I wanted. That meant I had to resort to other measures, including filing it down and using a hacksaw. Both were a major pain and took a while, but worked in the end. My recommendation to Larsen is to make it easier to break the bar to make it smaller. 

Removing the hardware and replacing it took maybe 20 minutes. Dealing with the locking bar took almost an hour. If they could make the locking bar easier, this would be a 10 out of 10 product.
