Easy to install, even as a home owner. I went from Honeywell (non-WiFi) to the T6 and the wiring was identical. Follow the instructions, most importantly, turn off the power to the furnace and A/C before installing, and it's straight-forward. Ok now gave Resideo at my cabin and my home and the piece of mine to be able to monitor them both regardless of where I am!

The controls and settings are intuitive, and simple to use. It's easy to set up daily, and “away” schedules, but the device also allows for very specific settings. The app is great! If I want to change a setting, I don't have to trudge down to the thermostat.

Does the job.

We switched from the NEST thermostat to the T6 Smart Thermostat when we installed a new HVAC. We are still getting accustomed to the features and functions of the T6 and learning about the options to conserve energy through programming. In general, we are pleased with he T6 but we do miss the backlit screen of the NEST that would display current temp settings.

The thermostat feature and functionality is good but I could use another wireless thermostat mounted in the second floor to monitor the temperature. Though I have the ability to control via my iPhone, on and off and changing the temperature setting only.

For the functionality, this is too large of a block on the wall.  This came with a condo I moved into and I far prefer the elegant look of a nest.  To make matters worse, this thermostat is such a giant block on the wall that the wall cover plate of a Nest doesn't even cover it.
I used it a bit to compare, but it doesn't anticipate heat changes as well as a Nest.

I struggled getting the setting rights the instruction manual I had was not English. I looked online and did the best I could be it still wasn't working the way I was setting it. Had to use ChatGPT to find the problem. Was able to solve it but it took weeks. Just not as usher friendly as other thermostats we have had

Not user friendly

The thermostat works very well except that it does not have temperature differenatal setting. Instead it uses algorythems.  That may work well for some but not me. I had mine set at 74 here in florida and it kept it at 74 which means the system was cycling mutch to often to keep it at that exact temperature. With a differerential type thermostat you can set it to let the temperature drift a degree ot two so you don't have all the ons and offs which is much easier on the equipemt.

Works well but....

Fan intermittently stops. Three techs cant fix. Waste of money. Text are blaming the thermostat, but it can work up to 12 days at a time with no problem and then it just stops if I turn the system off, let it rest about 30 minutes and turn it back on. It works fine sometimes for another 12 days. There is no rhyme or reason. I've turned the schedule off. I've kept the fan on. I've not changed the temperature. None of those seem to work. I have spent so much money and I'm still not getting consistent results. When it works, it definitely saves on the electricity bill but it's not fun when my house is 85° in the South Carolina heat.

Extremely dissatisfied with this product.

Dated!  The builder put this in as a standard thermostat.  We gave it a try to keep an open mind. From the interface to controls it just doesn't cut it in this modern age of technology. No humidity sensor. Aesthetically bland. After a month in these dinosaurs in our new home, we bought Nest thermostats which we had in our other homes.  Don't even waste your time with this thermostat!
