I’ve installed these all over my house to protect my two year-old toddler. They’re amazing. They’re so sturdy. They’re tall. They’re gonna last a long time. The instructions were gray. I used the stencil to lineup where I needed to drill the screws in to the door frames, but also understand that your door frame may be a little crooked. My house was built in the 1800sso I had to improvise a little bit, but they’re still perfect.

An investment into our child safety

I really like that there are so few pieces to put together.  It is tall enough to keep my jumper dogs from getting over it.  I did watch a couple of Youtube video's that really helped, and gave some tips for installing the mountings into the wall.  I really like this gate, and would recommend.  If you have a dog that can jump higher than 4 feet, I would also use other deterrents as well.

Yes, I would recommend this gate!!

Very sturdy construction.  A bit challenging to install because the template is slightly incorrect.  TIP - When installing, install both hinges plates but just the top latch plate.  Then assemble and hang the gate on, and then you can put the lower latch plate on so the bottom of the gate rests perfectly in it's cradle.
To unlock and open the gate is a bit clumsy, but it probably has to be that way to keep the little monster from playing around and opening it.
I would buy this again.

Sturdy and a bit tricky.

I'm sure this would be a five star rating for it's original purpose. It would be great for babies. (Toddlers might be able to unlatch it because it's fairly simple. We bought it to keep a Yorkiepoo and a cat in the basement. We had to weave screen through it twice and add a black foam piece to the side against the wall, as well as a bigger piece to the bottom.  (our little Houdini - Yorkiepoo has gotten through it twice but we've attached the bottom piece better and it works great. It's the easiest and best way we've found to keep the pets in the area where they're allowed. I would recommend this item.

Like the height

I bought this to keep my dogs out of my laundry room. My son installed it for me. He’s a mechanic and solves puzzles for a living. He told me the directions were not up to his standard. The gate is not as sturdy as I would like but I got what I paid for. So far so good!  7 out of 10 so far!

Fingers crossed it holds up to my family.

overall this is a great product been using it for years now I ordered this one because it's a little bit taller than the other one but the exact same The only problem with this is that the clips that hold the two pieces together do not fit between the bars to hold it together so I had to zip tie the two pieces together

This is the hardest gate I've ever tried to install!!! Yeah it seems sturdy when it's put together, but the locking mechanism is very sticky and hard to take apart when you want to go through it. The screws that it comes with strip INSTANTLY! Make sure you measure 15 times, just to still have the thing not line up. I will be returning this as soon as possible.

the only part made out of metal is the main gate. the wall mounts are plastic and the coupler is too which was cracked and does not fit properly.  what a joke. don't waste your money or time

The directions are wrong it tells you to click the middle things while the gate is upright! I tried that for an hour: finally I took the gate down %26 aligned it on the floor. It was NOT easy at all: the video rushed thru the labels of the pieces

We were happy to get a gate that was tall enough. but by the time we were about to finish the install the SOLDERED piece fell off of it. we are returning BOTH and going with another brand. This is ridiculous. Also hard to install. Needed a drill to get the holes in.
