This is a really nice student desk, very sturdy. It's good quality for the price paid and it's indeed made in Denmark.
Initially, I had some issues with shipping though. The external shipping box is very thin. When fedex delivered it to me, there was already a hole in the box and I could see some wood parts were damaged. I returned to Walmart immediately without opening it. I wanted to take another chance and placed another order. This one was delivered with a crate and it was thankfully mostly intact with no damage to the desk. 
The box is heavy so you need 2 people to lift. Assembly was straightforward. I was able to do it myself under an hour. They included extras for the different hardware needed. The instructions were reasonably clear.

It holds up well. Only wish that the instructions for building were more detailed and the pieces were labeled.

I'm torn on this purchase experience and rating (between 3 and 4).......assembly instructions were minimal, at best.  I have assembled many IKEA and other furniture pieces through the years and this was not an organized assembly (there were many different screws and fasteners and it would have been very helpful if these were more easily identifiable and packaged separately).  After a poor delivery experience (heavy box was damaged which led to damaged pieces-2), I am torn whether to return this item, at this point, for the damages, since I paid for a new item and this is clearly damaged.  I do think the desk is sturdy enough for the price, with actual (not fabric) drawers.  The leather drawer pulls are nice. The leg space is ample for a good chair.  This was a gift for our grandson and I think it will be very good for him.  If I don't return it, I have to figure out how to repair the damaged corner from delivery.  

I tried, and could not, add photos of damages to box and product.

I ordered this desk for my sons Christas gift. I opened it up to build it the next morning after it had arrived. Pulling out the first top piece of the desk, the corner was damaged and missing a piece of the wood. I look at the  box and sure enough the box was also damaged on that Cirner. I have tried many time to work with Wal Mart in replacing the item, refunding, discount etc to no avail. They wanted me to bring the item in, mind you, its opened, heavy and I cannot6 get a replacement for X mas. This is his one present. So, I am paying full price for this broken desk and gifting my son a broken desk for X was. Then during building it, two pieces are missing. This is a joke. So disappointing.

We got this and it took over a week to get here, which was several days past the estimated shipping window. Several pieces are broken.
