I bought the first one of these and had it shipped and it died within about a month. I made sure that it was upright for a couple of days before I plugged it in just to be sure the refrigerant would have time to settle. It worked well until it burned up. It got returned. I really like the ice and the size of this machine, so I decided to try it again. I bought one in store and carried it at home making sure to keep it upright. this one has been going for many months and makes ice beautifully and has no issues whatsoever. I'm certain that shipping one and having it mailed and being tipped on its side or upside down is problematic for it. this little ice machine is a champ and I would absolutely buy it again and recommend it to anyone. Yes, it makes noise. The ice is worth it. It takes a very little counter space compared to any of the other nugget ice machines. I know because I've had them. It's very easy to clean and it's even easier when you get an ozone machine and you use ozone water to run through it regularly. It doesn't hurt the machine and it dissipates and is safe to eat the ice that comes out of it, and this way, there is no gunk that builds up in the machine. It's much better than having to take everything apart and clean it all the time. It just stays clean and disinfected. Highly recommended ice machine. Great value!

Gave it a second chance. Glad I did. Don't ship it

Put the order in around I don't know this afternoon sometime and they told us 8 to 9 with one of you ready to go. We got a text before 7:30 or around there and by the time I got out there, I got the matches to say, let me know when you get here very fast thank you very much.

Present     Can fill bottom out yet not home

The ice is great, but the machine has a high-pitched squeal periodically and it sounds like something tries to break. There's no way to get to whatever that is that's doing it. Machine has been cleaned and it still does it. It gets worse and worse overtime. Too bad I can't post a video so you could hear it.

High pitch squeal and clanking

Works very well. The only issue is that because of the way it is made  the ice gets backed up and it says it's full when it's only half full. You have to stay on top of it and knock the ice down and make room for it to fall in order for it to not get backed up. It'd be better if you could walk away and not have to do that. It is also fairly noisy but for the price and ice quality it is a good deal.

Good But Could Be Better…

I love the ice that it makes. I WANT to give it a 5 star rating. Although the ice it makes is great, the actual product itself will leak out the rest of the water at the end of every ice cycle. This leaves a huge puddle of water on your countertop, so be mindful when purchasing.

Find better

I got after researching nugget ice makers for about a month. It worked relatively well for about 4 months but then started making a hugh pitched wine when making ice. i would have to turn the machine off and allow it to set for about 4 hours before running it again. I upped the cleaning cycles to every other week, despite using filtered water in the machine. Today, 6 months in on owning the product, it started making a clicking noise from the middle of the machine and will not produce any ice. It is still under warranty, so my first step is to call Frigidaire tomorrow during business hours, as they are not open on Sundays.

worked well for 4 months

The ice maker was great until it wasn't anymore. Just stopped working less than a month after purchase. We would only run it for a few hours a day in the afternoon, but even using it so little it stopped freezing the water.  The pump and other components work, just won't actually get cold. I reached out to walmart customer service who told me they would replace it, but I needed to wait for an email and the email basically said there is nothing they can do. Do Not Buy this unit! what a disappointment. $150 garbage...

It only worked for a couple of months. I did regular cleanings on it as directed. One day it stopped working, but still made loud clanking noises. I turned it off and cleaned it again but it never worked. I ended up throwing it out because I figured they may not exchange it because I tried to fix it myself. When it worked, the ice was great through.

Didn't work for long.

Despite all my best efforts and the manufacturers recommendations, I couldn't shake the plastic taste of the ice. It seemed about every 3rd or 4th batch was usable and the rest had to be dumped. I cleaned it 4x and ran at least 10 rounds of fresh water through. Makes no sense! It was also a bit noisy but I was willing to deal with that for crunchy ice. It was definitely crunchy and great when usable but I threw out several iced coffees due to the plastic tasting ice. Yuck

Ice shouldn't have a flavor

It lasted three days. I will email their customer support. I don't know how that will be, but we all the instructions filled it with water, it does not make ice as fast as it claims nor does it make it at all now! I was really hopeful. This is my first entry into nugget ice made at home, it simply did not work.
