we needed very specific dimensions for our Molly Mutt crate cover and bed insert to go in. It fit very well with an inch more length of the sides, everything else was perfect. The baby blue looks so good with the crate cover, and it functions like most black affordable crates, you're just paying more for the cute colors.

I chose this color because I have a female Pomeranian. I never knew these cages came in colors. The cage was simple to put together. I must say, I am a bit of an expert at this. I have put dozens of these cages together in my day in all different sizes. But, the instructions are still simple enough for a first timer. Even if lost, you could figure out how to put this cage together. These are very well made and I have no problem with it containing my 12 lb. dog. This sized crate comes in handy for all kinds of animal containment. I have used these for rehabilitating injured or sick animals and birds, raising chicks an ducks, and taming feral kittens.

Adorable Color

The Single Door Wire Crate by Carlson in size SMALL is 24" long x 21" high and 18" wide. It weighs about 12 lbs. It is plastic coated and has a removable, nice bottom that is easy to clean.
It took me all of 30 seconds to assemble it out of the box.
As they state, it is a: Compact and Secure Deluxe Metal Dog Crate.
This is something I really need for transporting my dog Rosie to the vet's office or when visiting family and friends. Rosie, being part Pomeranian and part Rat Terrier, is too energetic to be in a car unrestrained and when the crate is carefully secured in the back, she is safe.
It also makes her feel safe and secure if visitors to my home are numerous or have larger dogs with them.
Rosie's cage/crate is a soft blue in color and has a secure locking system on the door. I like that it is nice and roomy for her. The first time she went into it, to check for a size fit, she immediately laid down inside. When thunderstorms come into the area, Rosie takes one of her favorite toys and heads for her crate and her security blanket. It's very good that she feels the crate is a refuge for her, not a punishment, this way she comes and goes in at as she pleases at home. For my Rosie, this is the perfect sized crate for her. It is safe, secure and looks good too!

Nice Crate for Home & Trips to Vet

This was probably the easiest cage I've ever had to put together. It literally folds in on itself and I didn't even have to attach the door. Once I figured out which side had to go up first, it was a breeze. The pink color makes it really cute. Not just a wire dog cage. It is just a cage however. It doesn't have a carrying handle on top, and I'm not sure if it would hold together really well with a dog or two in it and carrying it around. But it is perfect for bed time or when you are training a new puppy or when you are gone. I have 2 yorkie girls and they both fit in it fine and had plenty of room. And the ease of folding it up flat to travel makes it perfect for a portable cage.

Pretty in Pink

I was looking for a cage that wasn't to big because I have a small dog, but it was still even a little big for my dog, I got the pink one because I have a girl dog :) It's a really nice cage and sturdy and was very easy to setup no tools needed to assemble, it just unfolds and snaps into place. The cage is 24"L x 21"H x 18"W so even though they sell it as small it's still a good size cage for a dog,It's a all metal cage with very thick coat of paint,the latch is a lift and slide type lock that works well. There is a tray that can be removed if the dog has an accident which makes it easier that having to carry the whole cage and trying to clean it out just carry the tray. Right now we have one of those enclosed plastic cages so I really like that my dog can see around her and get more fresh air and light for her. So far she likes it a lot and I can see her to make sure she's OK,I also bought a pillow bed for the bottom so she's really happy, and I'm sure your dog will love it to.

Nice sturdy cage

I needed something to put my large overweight cat in to keep her from getting in the way when I try to clean carpet and to keep her from eating the carpet. Received the dog crate in a flat box, it was heavier than I thought it would be. It was pink and very easy to put together. All you have to do is pop it up pull the ends up and clip in place and you're all ready to go. It comes with a tray for the bottom of the cage so it won't be uncomfortable for your pet. I put a pad and her favorite blanket and sat back to see if she'd go in. As soon as I sat down she was checking it out and in she went. She spends her days in there when she's not out doing whatever cats do. This will help keep her safe.

Good sleeping quarters.

This cage will be wonderful for traveling with my dog. It can be folded flat easily and put in the car trunk when not in use. I use it in the house when I want to keep my dog contained. Again, easy to put up and down and it stores easily since it folds flat. Easy to put together. My only concern would be the paint on the latches that hold the cage together. Each time you fold it up, the paint is rubbed, I think it will be rubbed off of the latches somewhat soon. That said, I don't think it will be unsightly and the cage is a nice blue color. I am very pleased with this cage. My dog, a Chihuahua mix, is very happy and comfortable in it too! Best attributes-lightweight, foldable.

Nice cage for travel

This is a great Carlson dog crate! It is a baby blue color. I really like the color! It comes in a pretty pink color too. The crate was already put together, just folded flat. All I had to do was take it out of the box and unfold it. It is easy to fold up and it locks for storage. It is nice and sturdy. It is made of all steel. We got the small crate and it is perfect for our Lil Man as you can tell in the picture. He has enough space to move around. It fits great in the back of our van. This crate is for dogs up to 25 pounds. It has a matching, removable and washable tray. It has one door that latches and unlatches easily. It has a secure lock. This crate is designed to keep your pet safe. It can be used inside or outside. It is great for house training, travel and going back and forth to the veterinarian. I think it is worth the price. We love this crate. It meets our every need for our sweet, little Chiweenie.

Great dog cage!

This crate came in so handy for me. My cat has a bad problem of eating my plants. I go off too work and when I get home my cat has vomited all over the rug. To nip this problem I would but her in the bathroom. Now I can leave her in the cage in the kitchen so she feel less stress full. I like that the cage has a plastic floor makes it easy should she make a mistake. Just wash it off. Its big enough for her so she has room to move around a little. Pink is not my color being a guy I can live with it.
This cage has made us a happy family again I'm happy and my plants are happy as well. Thanks Walmart for a great product... PS The doorway is big enough to get her in and out with out much trouble...

Wow, a crate that is pretty. I don't know if that matters to the pets, but I sure like looking at a blue crate. A baby blue to be exact. This crate is small. The one piece package is easy to open, setup and breakdown for storing and transporting. It weighs 11 lbs. It measures 24 1/2" long x 18" wide and just under 21" high. When closed up the 21" high becomes approximately 3 1/2 inches and latches closed. It doesn't have a carry handle which is disappointing. No divider is included, but really not necessary for a small one door crate. The tray is solid with no imprint as others that I have and that's a plus. The even surface is much easier to clean. The sliding latch is easy and stays in place. I noticed that the paint makes it a tiny bit "thicker" and requires just a little more effort to setup and breakdown than my others. A few spots of paint have chipped off due to this. And because it doesn't have any sharp edges even under these chips; it's nothing of concern, just an observation. Very smooth bars and connections. The crate has a single door which is fine for my pet room, but if you need to move it around or transport in small spaces, you might want one with a double door. I have set this up in my pet rescue room along with my larger crates. I really like this size and plan to put several more of these small crates in the pet room. I see there are pink ones also. And I want one for my own cats because it seems to be a fantastic method for timeouts! Half a star off for not having a carry handle. Purely my hang up, since it's lightweight I can just as easily pick it up by sticking fingers through bars on top, but not too easy when a pet is inside. That being said I still highly recommend this strong, smooth and well made adorable crate!

The doors on the crate were not lined up with the locks. Impossible to lock crate. Pink paint easily scratches off when assembling crate. Return policy is you have to drive to a fed ex location and mine is an hour away!
