Okay ladies, if you are at all like me then you have a sad excuse for eyebrows. I had pretty much given up on making my eyebrows look good. I don't wear makeup very often because I don't know how to apply it in a way that I really like. As always I get really stumped when I get to my eyebrows because I really don't know what to do and whatever I have done made them look dark, thick, and fake. Oh and dare I say "angry".

I tried this product as a last hope and I am so glad I did! The product description states that Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse styles brows for a fuller softly defined look and they weren't kidding. I could not believe how easily and how quickly I was able to fill in my scant, gaped, pitiful looking eyebrows. The tip of the brush has just the whisper of tiny bristles that worked absolute magic on any unruly hairs and whipped them into submission. All you have to do is twist the bottom of the tube and the mousse comes out of small holes that are in between the bristles. Then simply brush the mousse onto your eyebrows and fine tune with the tip. It's such a "no brainer" that even I couldn't mess it up.

I love this product so much that I now wear makeup almost every time I go out. I feel confident knowing that not only is my makeup on point but my eyebrows are looking like they never looked before. This is the first time I have ever gotten excited about makeup in my life and now I look forward to putting it on. 

The package states that it wears up to 24 hrs. I got color 404 Dark Brown which matched my eyebrows to a tee.

Revlon outdid themselves this time!!

Rich velvety color. Covers gray. Stays put. Called soft black but it's pretty intense. I think a brown black might be better for me.

It is a little more work than some brow products but given the fact it stays put lasts 100% and the bonus of gray cover am willing to take 2x the time and effort.

The reason it performs so well is the waxy-like base goes on first with a brush in short strokes.. Then with the other end of the brush you apply the powder in the same way. Lastly you use the spoolie brush to tidy the brow & further distribute the color. If you get color on your skin a q-tip removes it easily enough.

Rich color. Covers gray!

I received the Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse to review. It is a whipped color tinted mousse that lasts up to twenty four hours. It .Just twist the tube until the mousse comes out and then just smooth it on.It fills in thin brows and you can wear it over pencil or powder products.It adds a more defined look to your brows. It doesn't feel heavy on your brows. I give the Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse 5 stars. It is a good quality product for the price.

Fill In Thin Brows

I am a big fan of Revlon products and I am very pleased with the results from this Revlon Colorstay Brow Mousse kit in soft black. I love the applicator brush that it comes with as it is very soft and easy to apply the brow color. It also has a brow brush that you can use to comb your brows. There's a lot of product so this should last awhile. The handy case keeps the product secure and it's easy to find in your purse or makeup case. I get full color coverage on my brows without the product flaking and with the brush I can easily shape my brows for a soft arch. There's also white makeup highlighting powder that finishes the look of your brows. I like to use very little underneath my brows to finish my classic look.

Great product for lovely looking brows

I have brownish-red (strawberry brown??) hair, and as I'm getting older, my eyebrows are fading so they need a boost of color to stand out - especially in this era of big, thick eyebrows being all the rage (seriously...it's getting a bit out of control, right?). 

Anyway, I use a brown pencil to fill them in a bit, but have needed something to help them match my hair color a bit better. While I think this might be the best option for someone who has truly auburn hair, it's the best option I've found thus far for me. I use it sparingly, but it adds a bit of red to help blend. 

I'm on the fence with the applicator. You turn the tube to dispense product to the brush...which is sort of plastic and not bristly like I expected. It goes on slightly glumpy but it does smooth out/blend ok once you brush it in. I usually put it on then go over it with an eyebrow brush to blend it. 

I'm including two photos in slightly different light so you can get an idea of the color/shade. I've tried a few other brands/shades of brow color and so far this is my favorite in regards to the color and how it blends with my hair color. It's also my favorite so far in how my brows feel with it applied - it doesn't seem to turn them stiff or crunchy, but rather they stay soft and natural, which is important to me.

Good color, not crazy about applicator

The concept was good, the only con about it was when u turn it for the color to come out I doesn’t come out evenly. But once it’s brushed in with the brush part it looks great and blends right in wonderfully. Having the brush and color all in 1 is a lot easier and convenient to use.

Brows

I can see Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse in auburn being effective if you have full well shaped brows that are light and only need color, fullness and grooming in the way of controlling brow hairs. The formula does darken and thicken a brow hair when applied. But if you have bare spots and or thin brows that need filling in of sparse hairs this won't help much. It works by sticking ti existing hairs, I could not find a way with the applicator to get it to stick to skin in a way that looked natural.
 The applicator has stiff plastic bristles, much like some mascara brushes- so they do hit every brow hair. The problem is the mousse only dispenses from 2 holes on opposite side of the brush. This makes it very difficult to apply evenly across your entire brow. It comes out in blobs and does not spread out well. The mousse dries quickly and tends to crumb while trying to brush it though your brow hairs. The color is good, a medium brownish auburn. Not to red or orange against your skin. Once it's dry it is fairly smudge resistant but still washes off easily.
 If you are looking for something to make each brow hair appear darker and thicker, which gives your brows a fuller, plush look--this will work for you. I have clear brow hairs that are also sparse, so there is nothing for the mousse to cling to and goes on skin in crumbs.

Depends on what you need

The wand of this brow mousse is like a typical brow brush except that mousse flows when you turn the tube and is emitted on 2 sides of the wand. I found it difficult to get the mousse on the brows where I wanted it in a uniform manner as it did not coat the bristles of the wand evenly. It was just in clumps on 2 sides. The color blonde, was also a bit light for me. I was disappointed-wanted to really like this product as I have not found a good solution to dealing with my sparse brows but it was not the answer for me. I think someone with nice thick natural brows may enjoy this to even out the color of their brows or enhance it. Since I actually need to draw on my brows to some extent, this didn't work well. Also, it went in all the wrong places when I actually tried to smooth it on my sparse brows. The attached picture shows the mousse as it is emitted on one side of the wand.

Interesting concept

I received the Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse, #403 Auburn, free in exchange for my review.
What I like - It does make my very light, thin brows show up on my face, (you can actually see my eyebrows) and it would probably look nice with a full face on, instead of just my eyebrows "done". The auburn looks fair with my strawberry blonde hair.
What I don't like - I feel the color is a little too dark for my complexion, there needs to be more colors to select from, but as far as I know ther are only 3 colors - Blonde, Auburn, and dark Brown. The applicator is difficult to use, you have to turn a dial on the bottom of the applicator to get the mousse on the brush, it comes out in 4 little blobs(2 on each side of brush), this makes it way too easy to get the color on your face, and this does not come off your skin easy. 
I feel it would be easier to use if it was more like mascara(dip brush in tube to get mousse on the brush).
Maybe with ALOT of practice I could learn how to use it and this would make it look better, and I would not get it on my skin?

In exchange for my honest review, I received the Revlon ColorStay Brow Mousse, 404 Dark Brown, .07 fl oz free from the Walmart Spark Review program. I have very dark, almost black hair, so I chose the dark brown. The wand must be turned and turned to push the mousse up and out through the brush at the top of the wand. It comes out very sticky and thick, which I suppose is why it is called mousse. I then used the brush filled with mousse to brush through my brows. It leaves very uneven application of the mousse, so some parts of my brows were really dark, while other areas just looked splotchy. The applicator does not have very long brush teeth, either, as you may be able to see in the picture. Much of the mousse just sits on top of my brow, and did not blend in.
I ended up using a different brush head from one of my own brow products to try to blend in the mousse with some success. 
Overall, it is an interesting idea to have mousse instead of a gel, or pencil or marker to fill in the brows, but the execution with this product was marginal at best. I still had to use another product to blend it in, and that is not saving me time to have to grab another tool. I will keep the mousse on hand if I need to fill in or color over my brows, but I will not use it daily. It will be used as a standby only.
