I love these socks.  They have a slightly cushioned sole for comfort and some stretch around the foot that holds them in place and keeps them from slipping down.  I purchased this same set 3 or 4 years ago and was delighted that they were still in stock.  I wear these socks every day, even to church on Sunday.  They look nice with my dress shoes and slacks.   The colors are fun and sometimes I mix them up to the delight of my grandchildren. I've had a lot of socks and these are the best!

Comfy and durable socks

DICKIES has been a company that puts out a quality product. We have purchased these socks in several different sets. One of our children is grueling on their socks. They've held up like a champ.  From volleyball, to running in the street and yard without shoes. You get my drift. This is why we are repeat buyers of their socks. Male and female. The value of some sets vary. Some lower, some higher. Worth the money.

These are tough socks.  I am a guy with small feet, and men's socks are mostly too big.  I am a men's size 8.5 shoe, which means men's socks are always too long, and the heel of the sock ends up somewhere above the heel of my foot, which is really irritating.  A friend gave me a pair of these to try (my friend is a woman and she gave me a pair of her women's socks).  I was amazed at how comfortable and tough they are, and they fit perfectly!  I have REALLY rough heels, and I can wear through the heel of a sock in a day.  Just for giggles, I wore the pair for 3 days to see how they held up with my rough feet.  After 3 days of wear, no holes!  

The other thing I like about them is that they come in neutral colors.  I have purchased women's socks in the past, and it can be a bugger to find multi-packs that don't include pink or other "feminine" prints.  I like that I can get these in black/grey/more "masculine" prints.  So I ran right out and bought several packs of these and they are my new go-to sock.

Great socks and not just for ladies

Five pairs of socks for $10 is definitely a good buy especially when they are well made and a great fit. I know some reviewers complained that they were too tight, but that was not my experience. My calves are not particularly thin or thick. I can only remember one time that I bought socks that turned out to be too tight. The socks came out great washing them on cold and hanging to dry. I will buy from the company again.

Loved these so much I bought a second pack. They provide the support my feet need. I've purchased much more expensive socks and these Dickies are just as good.

Worth it

I got these for my 10 y.o. daughter for a school camping trip because she needed long socks. Her foot is about a size 4.5 and these socks fit her fine. She particularly like the purple -ish colors

Good socks for tween girl

I love Dickies socks. These are not super thick, but they are warm and comfortable. They do run a little small. I wear a women's size 8.5 shoe, and these socks seem like they would fit a women's size 7 perfectly. The heel slides down my foot a little bit, and if I pull it back to the heel they are tight in the toes. Other than that, there's no problem and I like them. 
These are not thick "work" type socks and the sole is not extra cushiony.

Nice, good quality socks but run small.

i like that it keeps you dry and the quality is nice. took off one star because it was thinner than i expected and i was planning to wear these in colder months

The foot portion of the sock is quite comfortable but the part that goes over your ankle and slightly up the calf is very very tight. More for a ‘girls' leg not a womans and I do not have a heavy calf. They cut  me off where the top of the sock ends. I had to cut some of the elasticizing to loosen it up a little.

2 pairs of socks were not the same size 1 is bigger then the other.  If there was a no star rating that's what I would of rated it.  Like how does this happen.  I threw them out so I don't have proof.
