I'm not adept in home projects, I'm 73, but i did try, and it came out fairly well. i cut it too long, %26 i let it set a day, then, i cut off the end too long, but it broke the seal! so I'll try again on my back door to see if i can perfect it better. it's very easy to use!   one just need to go about it in slower mode to get it angled correctly. att'd a photo of my 1st attempt.  i prefer this product over anything that screws into the door to leave holes if it doesn't work.  
I ended up cutting off a bit too much. I'm happy with our though as before there was a good half inch showing the light from outdoors and wear it was easy for little critters to climb up inside!

This was a great choice %26 it came as it said.

It works sealing the door like I wanted. I do wish it had been a 
Little wider but that isn't a deciding factor. Easy peel and stick.
Now just have to wait and see if co feasting weather will make it unstick like
It did my last one which was a different brands

The product is an epic fail.  Do not buy.  The self adhesive stick totally failed and the product fell off  of the door in a couple of hours.  Do not buy!
