Make sure to do your research on the new nexus 7 2013. If you happen to get one that has touch screen issuesissues, the GPS keeps losing connection or the tablet freezes up numerous times, exchange it immediately. Some are shipping with issues but most are completely perfect. Don't wait around for a software update that many believe are really hardware issues. Think about it for a second..... All nexus 7s are the exact same hardware. So if it was a software issue wouldn't most if not all be experiencing the exact same problem? Clearly some units are defective.

really fast 7 inch tablet

This is not my first tablet, This Google Nexus 7 is totally customizable, smooth operation and an excellent tablet. I have had iPad, Samsung Tablet 1 and now I got Google Nexus 10 and I bought this Google Nexus 7 for my kids for Xmas. As you can see I have had a huge range of tablets and I will now only buy Nexus tablets from now on. If you like to customize and have control of your tablet this is the way to go. Also so many free down loads compared to Apple. And if you have the Nexus tablets you also get first dibs on new apps before others or trial of new apps as well.

Google Nexus 7

You can buy two of these things for the price of one iPad-mini. I bought 3 and gave them for Xmas gifts (one for myself - grin). Faster, thinner, reliable, plays on your TV with Chromecast (at 1/3 the price of the fruit-TV box), lots of neat apps (many free) and has the same rez as a high-def TV. What's not to like... well, the Asus cases that I bought for them had a very bad fit (returned them). If these things had a USB port or an SD (or micro-SD) slot, it would come close to being perfect.

I gained an additional 64 GB of storage that can broadcast to 3 different devices at the same time - Kingston Wi-Drive (about $85 on that ginormous internet store).

BTW, I bought 4 of the original N7s and the new ones are a case of a good thing getting better. BTW, the cases for the original N7s fit very well.

Awesome value - 16GB N7 (wi-fi)

We went to a local store and compared every tablet available. (He is a tech-geek and I am tech-challenged.) Hands down, we agreed, the Nexus 7 2013 tablet had the best image for the price. And even with our broad tech skills, we both love it and bought one for each of us. Portable and powerful, no longer do we need to pack up the laptop for all our travels. Husband charges his via USB to pc. I plug mine in with the power cord included. Tablets have a variety of free apps including games, Netflix, Pandora, books. Once we determined this was the tablet for us, I shopped for the best price. Wal-Mart's price with the extended warranty beat all the competitors.

I bought this tablet about a month ago. This is my first tablet and my first android OS. I read many reviews before buying and I made the right choice! Very satisfied with this tablet overall. It is very fast and the screen is beautiful. Text is easy to read. The tablet has great sound too! I did have to return my first tablet because it had a dead pixel in the upper right side of the screen. I couldn't stop looking at it, so I exchanged it with no problems. And now I have a flawless tablet! Great for surfing web, playing games, watching movies, and more!

Buy this tablet!

Excellent battery life, gorgeous screen, ultra fast with the latest updates to Android (KitKat 4.4)
This tablet is very light and easy to hold for long periods of time. I tried a couple of 10" tablets but they were so heavy that wrists and hands tire from holding them extended periods of time... not true with the Nexus 7! I can hold it for hours surfing, checking emails, playing games, reading reviews of the movies we are watching... and also is great when paired with Google's Chromecast to stream movies to my TV! I can share what videos I am watching on my tablet with my family on my TV! (Chromecast is only $35 extra and you can get it at Walmart too!)

GREAT deal on a GREAT 7" tablet

It's a fabulous piece... Or will be when these two flaws are fixed... Namely, GPS that only connects sporadically, and a keyboard that is sometimes very very jumpy and unusable. Once those are fixed, it'll be the greatest! I am surprised that google let something like this out with these two blatant flaws, however.

Great transport, but surprised by the obvious bug

The Google Nexus 7 is pure Android -- no overlays, no dreadful applications that you can't get rid of, and updates are available from Google rather than a wireless carrier as is always the case with a smartphone. This device delivers excellent performance:

1. Excellent display with a wide viewing angle
2. Very fast with no laggy performance that is the hallmark of Samsung tablets and phones
3. Applications work as they are supposed to and don't crash which is in my experience never been the case with Android
4. Long battery life
5. Decent camera
6. Thin and lightweight
7. 32 GB of memory

In short, the Google Nexus 7 is considerably less expensive than an iPad Mini and delivers similar performance. As it is a pure Google product (built by Asus) you have the best of Android without third-party tinkering with the user interface. I highly recommend it.

Nexus 7: What an Android tablet should be

Nothing, but only good things I can say about this tablet.
This is my first tablet, but I have already tied the IPAD mini, and I can tell you that I like this one a little more, the only thing if there is something bad I can say, that would be the size in comparison to the IPAD mini, otherwise the NEXUS 7 would come on top, or at least that's how I feel.

Visually: Impressive. awesome display, looks great with hd movies and videogames
brightness level: Perfect either you are using it in the dark or outside in the sun.

weight: Lite and easy to take along. and the fact that you can hold it from the sides without touching the screen by accident, I think it's a bright idea.

I should add that it is fast enough to have you pleased every time you need to surf the web.

Overall, I can say it's worth every penny you spend on it.

Buy it, you would not regret doing so.
I gave this tablet a 4 star rating, just because of the size, they should have made it an 8 inch tablet based on the size of the IPAD mini.

Money wise, an excellent Buy.

I bought My Nexus but it seems that I got a lemon. The product seems to be fine and I love a lot of the features but it resets every few minutes. I updated the software and thought that will be the fix but it keeps on rebooting after every 5 minutes.
