According to the reviews (which I read only after receiving the broken item) poor packing is a fairly common occurrence when this seller ships this item.

- 3 out of 5 stars review4/14/2026I ordered two items from Chicago Parts through Walmart. An internal water valve, and a replacement ice maker. Water valve was 5 stars. Icemaker was 1 star. It was not new (looked like it had been returned before) and it did not function properly. Internal switch did not work to cause water to enter into the ice maker. Average b/t 2 items is 3 starsTed
