The M-D Aluminum and Vinyl Flex-O-Matic Screw-on Door Sweep features a spring-action vinyl seal for protection from drafts, moisture, dust and insects. The spring-action seal raises when the door is opened and lowers when the door is shut to allow the sweep to clear any flooring when the door is moving. Save on energy by sealing the bottom of the door and keeping the heat or air conditioning from escaping. All of the hardware needed to install is included. works great for large gaps under the door. I don't have a door sill for basement stairs and it still does the job. Replacing the same thing that had been in place for many years.

Draft Stopper

Nice wind blocker for under door drafts and I didn't have to remove the door to install it!   It did cost more than the $7.57 indicated on this "review request!"

Functionally the sweep was just what I expected and it works well.  However, the "bronze" finish had several streaks of silver as if someone had taken a can of silver spray paint to the finished product... not very aesthetic!!

Poor Finish

I opened it while in the store and found that the description was misleading. This door sweep's description was not adequate for me to know it was not what I wanted.   I was seeking a sweep that is mounted on the outside of the door (front door that swings into the room) and when the sweep meets the door jam a screw on the jam  forces the strip down as the door is closed to form a complete seal at the bottom of the door.  The Bronze Flex-O-Matic does not do that. I returned this item.   Now I'm going to try the one from AM Conservation.
